PRESS RELEASE – Anaïs Lacroix appointed to the Board of Directors of the Forum of Canadian Ombudsman

Montreal, June 10, 2025 – Latitude is proud to announce the appointment of its CEO, Anaïs Lacroix, to the Board of Directors of the Forum of Canadian Ombudsman (FCO), a major national network of over 450 active members working as traditional or organizational ombudsman in the public, private and post-secondary sectors across Canada.

The FCO’s mission is to promote the relevance, credibility and ongoing evolution of the ombudsman function in Canada and internationally. It aims to optimize the relevance and credibility of this function by encouraging the exchange of ideas, the sharing of experience, continuing education, the adoption of best practices, the search for innovative directions and the development of professional standards.

Ms. Lacroix’s appointment reflects her ongoing commitment to these principles. Organizational Ombuds at VIA Rail Canada since March 2025, she performs an independent and neutral function to facilitate the fair resolution of ethical concerns and complaints, within a framework of procedural fairness, confidentiality and active listening.

Ms. Lacroix also leads Latitude, a neutral and impartial law firm dedicated to conflict prevention and management. Bilingual lawyer specializing in labour and employment law and accredited mediator, she has more than a decade of experience accompanying organizations facing sensitive issues of harassment, discrimination and violence in the workplace.
