Edith is the firm’s Director of Mediation Services. In addition to overseeing and coordinating our mediation activities, Edith acts as a mediator in civil, commercial and labor relations cases.

An experienced lawyer and mediator, she has a wealth of experience in conflict management, prevention consulting and risk analysis. An accredited mediator since 2015, she has developed an active practice in this field and acquired an in-depth understanding of relational dynamics and sources of conflict in different sectors. Over the years, she has been involved in over 500 mediation and facilitation cases. Drawing on this experience, she teaches the civil, commercial and labor relations mediation seminar at the Quebec Bar, enabling participants to obtain their accreditation as mediators.

Prior to joining Latitude, Edith was a partner in a major Montreal law firm, where she served institutional clients as well as large corporations. She acquired in-depth knowledge of public organizations, the laws that govern them and the management of large-scale projects. Edith has worked in labor relations, civil law, construction law and real estate law. She also held the position of Assistant General Manager and Legal Affairs with a major agri-food federation. In this capacity, she led work teams and supported managers, particularly in the development of policies and the establishment of management structures for sound governance. Finally, she managed, as a partner, a boutique firm whose flagship service was mediation.

Driven by her desire to do things differently, she devotes her practice to preventing and resolving disputes as a neutral third party. She is a member of the Quebec Bar and a mediator accredited by the Bar, the Institut de médiation et d’arbitrage du Québec, the Université de Sherbrooke and the Ministère de la Justice. She is also a Bar-accredited arbitrator.
