Tess is a Senior Advisor at Latitude. She first joined the team as an articling student, and then as a lawyer investigator. She has a DEC in civil engineering, in addition to having obtained her bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Montreal. During her studies, she worked in the federal public service where she gained experience in managing confidential files, tight deadlines and handling sensitive data.
After her studies, Tess was a hearings advisor within the hearings and detention team of the Canada Border Services Agency where she developed skills in drafting legal opinions and procedural documents as well as effective investigation strategies.
Tess has a keen interest in human rights as well as alternative dispute resolution methods, in particular mediation applied in the context of workplace disputes.
