Simon Laliberté
Senior Director, Ethics & Integrity
Since 2016, Simon Laliberté has served as counsel at the Office of the Inspector General and previously held the position of Assistant Chief Counsel to the Public Inquiry Commission on the modernization of the SAAQ’s information systems (Gallant Commission). In these roles, he developed expertise in administrative investigations involving contractual and public integrity matters. He advised analysts and investigators and participated in all stages leading to the drafting of public reports, as well as the development of recommendations for the decision-making bodies of the City and government.
Holder of a certificate in financial crime prevention, he is engaged in the field of anti-corruption. He has contributed to publications by Transparency International Canada and helped establish the subcommittee on debarment and exclusions in public procurement (“Debarment & Exclusions”) within the International Bar Association, which he has co-chaired since 2024.
Since 2022, he has been invited as a speaker by the Barreau du Québec to present on recent developments in public integrity, as well as by the Union des municipalités du Québec and at the GCTF Anti-Corruption Workshop in Taiwan.
