Mia Anhoury
Lawyer-Investigator
Mia is an advisor and a lawyer-investigator. She regularly intervenes in cases involving psychological, sexual, and discriminatory harassment, as well as discrimination complaints. She acts exclusively as a neutral third party in a variety of mandates. Ms. Anhoury works with organizations of all sizes, in the public and private sectors, in both unionized and non-unionized environments, as well as in workplaces and the education sector.
Mia joined the team as a student in 2022, before completing her articling here and joining Latitude as a lawyer in September 2023. Before joining Latitude, Ms. Anhoury worked as a news journalist for various Montreal media. This experience has provided her with several useful skills in her mandates at Latitude, including communication, drafting, analysis and emotion management. Her involvement in sensitive cases ensures a methodical and ethical approach at every stage of the process.
Mia holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the Université de Montréal, is a member of the Quebec Bar and holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism with a minor in Spanish – Hispanic Cultures and Literatures from Concordia University.
During law school, Mia worked as a notarial paralegal. She was also a member of Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC). During her tenure, she was paired with the Centre for Research-Action on Race Relations (CRARR), a non-profit organization that supports victims of racial discrimination.
