Karine Jean-Baptiste
Lawyer-Investigator
Karine oversees Latitude’s training and development services and acts exclusively as a neutral and impartial third party in mandates focused on preventing and managing discrimination, harassment, violence, and workplace conflicts. She holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and a Master of Law from the University of Ottawa and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma (DESS) in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Organizations.
Before joining Latitude, Karine held roles as a judicial researcher, trainer, legal advisor, and recruiter. Since 2022, she has been an accredited mediator for the Small Claims Division of the Court of Quebec and has pursued extensive training in alternative dispute resolution.
During her studies, Karine was actively involved with the National Pro Bono Student Network and volunteered as a trainer for Éducaloi. She also worked with various community organizations dedicated to supporting victims of intimate and sexual violence. These experiences have sharpened her understanding of harassment and discrimination issues—insights that greatly enhance her work at Latitude.
