Karine Jean-Baptiste 
Lawyer-Investigator

Karine is a lawyer who acts exclusively as a neutral and impartial third party in mandates of prevention and management of discrimination, harassment, violence and conflicts in the workplace. She holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and a Master of Law from the University of Ottawa. She is currently completing a Certificate in Human Resources management. 
 
During her studies, she got involved with several community organizations dedicated to defending victims of intimate and sexual violence. These experiences have allowed her to become aware of the issues related to harassment and discrimination, which will serve her greatly in the various mandates on which she will work on at Latitude. She was also involved in the National Pro Bono Student Network and was a volunteer trainer for Éducaloi. 
 
Before joining Latitude, Karine held roles as a judicial researcher, trainer, legal advisor and recruiter. Since 2022, Karine is an accredited mediator at the Small Claims Division of the Court of Quebec and has taken several training courses in alternative dispute resolution.
