Emily Lapointe-Carpenter
Lawyer-Investigator
Emily is an advisor and lawyer investigator at Latitude, where she conducts provincial and federal investigations into psychological and sexual harassment in the workplace. She conducts her investigations in both French and English, combining rigor, attention to detail, and a human and empathetic approach. Over the past few years at Latitude, she has also gained experience in a variety of other mandates, including climate assessment and organizational policy review.
Before joining the team, Emily articled and then practiced as a lawyer in a firm specializing in human rights where she caried out various mandates in labour, family, youth, and administrative law.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology (BA) from the Université de Montréal, marked by a one-year internship at the Director of Youth Protection, as well as a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the same university. She also has experience in social intervention with young people.
