Emily Lapointe-Carpenter
Lawyer-Investigator

Emily is an Advisor and lawyer investigator at Latitude. Prior to joining the team, she articled and then practiced as a lawyer in a boutique human rights firm where she carried out various mandates in labour, family, youth and administrative law.

Before studying law, Emily completed a bachelor’s degree in criminology at the University of Montreal, marked by a one-year internship at the Director of Youth Protection. She then completed her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the same university.

During her university career, she got involved in the National Network of Pro Bono Students and in a community organization that helps people who have suffered psychological and/or sexual harassment at work. She reconciled her studies in law with a job in social intervention with young people for more than two years.

With this multidisciplinary background, Emily adopts an open-minded and empathetic approach through her mandates relating to the prevention and management of conflict, discrimination, violence and harassment in the workplace.
